Rules
We will be running AMCS rules in 2006 with a couple
of exceptions. Exceptions are noted below. The 2006 rule book can
be found at AMCSRacing.com. There are some exceptions to the rule
book listed below.
1 - Rain out points - If a race is rained out before the heats each
team in attendance will be awarded 10 bonus points. Teams must already
be in the gate for this to happen. If a heat race in completed and
the feature rains out it will be scored as a full points race. This
is done to account for drops on the schedule. We
are the only minicup league to allow drops in the schedule for teams
to take time off for family matters or in case of a bad day at the
track or mechanical failures.
2 - Show points - We now have a major league sponsor -FireStorm Graphix and Betley Chevrolet along with UltraFlex Race Car Bodies. With
this sponsorship comes some promotional events we will need to have
league cars attend for promotional purposes. We are going to require
each league member to bring their cars to at least one promotional
event either for the league or the sponsors. We cannot have the
same 3 cars at every promotional event. Each team that brings their cars to a promo event will be awarded 8 points. These points will be posted on the points page. Teams can also help out at the track race day.
To participate in the year end points fund awards, drivers must run a minimum of nine races.
Again this fund is thanks to our sponsors and we need as much driver participation and support as possible.
4 - If you miss a race, you start at the back for the next race.
5 - Safety - Collars are mandatory, as are left and right side head supports. A Hutchens or similar head & neck support is highly recommended.
6 - DQ’s cannot be dropped.
7 - Lee USA Speedway will need NEW minor release forms for drivers
under 18. You can do these race day. Bring a copy of your birth
certificates. Expect the same from Star Hudson.
8 - All cars must run a FireStorm graphix windshield banner, a
Betley decal and an UltraFlex Decal and an NHMinicup.com banner.
FireStorm will supply one set to each team. If you need more than
one set they will cost $20.00. These kits include contingency decals.
These will be given out practice and race day.
9 - Scale your cars. Min. weight for open cars is 700lbs and 680
for young guns.
Young Guns Class (Ages
10-14) - We will be running the .883 or .925 Honda carburetor
with a .700 restrictor plate for 2005.
Weight - Minimum
race weight for the Youth Division class is 680lbs. with driver.
Open Class (Ages 15 and
up) - We will be running the .883 or .925 carburetor for the
open class. The Tillotson is no longer allowed.
Weight - Mininmum
race weight for the Open class is 700lbs. with driver.
HOOSIER TIRES & AMERICAN
RACER TIRES
Both Hoosier Tires and American Racer tires will be legal in 2007 ( only visitors or Seekonk cars are allowed to run the AR’s if that is their home track tire)
Front Brakes - Front brakes are mandatory.
Receivers - We are working on receivers for the whole group. Lee has asked that we get them. This will help with safety, cautions and line-ups. We
expect cost to be approx. $100.00 to $150.00. They are reprogrammable
and can be used at any track and you can use them to listen to your
favorite driver when not racing. We will inform people of when we
have them. If you already have radios you will not need them.
DQs - We have two drops this year, however a DQ cannot be dropped.
Valve Springs - Valve springs must be legal according to the AMCS rule book and appear stock (6 coils).
CAMS - The legal CAM is the M1.
Sealed Motors - We are requiring all motors to be sealed this year including head seals.
There are only 3 places you can have this done. Please see resources
page for info. All seals must be registered and recorded by engine
builder/sealer. Non sealed heads will be pulled at the track during
tech IF MANDATED.
